How to use the Random Team Generator
- Paste participants, one per line
- Choose the number of teams or the number of people per team
- Click Generate; re-shuffle until you are happy, then copy
About this tool
The generator shuffles everyone with a secure Fisher–Yates shuffle, then deals names round-robin like playing cards, so team sizes never differ by more than one. Choose “people per team” for things like pairs or groups of 4. The tool works out how many teams that makes.

How are uneven numbers handled?
Teams differ by at most one person. With 10 people in 3 teams, you get 4, 3 and 3.
Can I balance teams by skill?
Not automatically. A simple trick is to run the generator separately for strong and newer players and combine the results.

Only in your browser, so a refresh keeps it.
